There is a good chance every fencer tried different weapons – I am talking about choosing epee, foil or sabre as a weapon type, and then, finding the “right one”. Blade brand and stiffness, handle type and size, we may go through a few combinations of those before we settle.

But once you found your weapon, that becomes a magical extension of your hand and your fencing partner. Maybe it’s not the fencer, who is making a choice here, maybe it’s a weapon choosing right fencer?
